Transfer Dies

These are dies in which part transfer between operations is carried out by arms that take their movement from the press. Operations begin with the robotic feeding of cut sheet metal into the die. Each die is housed in a separate body, and multi-press transfer lines are required for synchronised operation. More than one die can be mounted on a press in the transfer line. During the design stage, the position of the transfer arms in relation to the die components must be carefully considered.
